Question: Plymouth Voyager Transmission Question
Reading an e-mail posted, I understand you may have an insight to my car's transmission problem. 1996 Plymouth Voyager 3.3 liter and I don't know what the transmission model is. Mileage 110,000. The problem: All gears but Low and Reverse work.
What happened when it went: I was driving at 55 mph for almost two hours when suddenly the engine was racing because the gear just stopped working. It was like I had placed the transmission into neutral and my foot was still on the pedal. I of course was in the cruising high gear. I was loosing speed quickly and started to pull over and as I did I tried dropping it into low and it worked. So I continued on at a much slower rate of speed and was able to travel another 100 miles to get home.
