Bandai Voyager Model

Released in 2008 by Omiyasoft and Namo Bandai Games, Culdcept Saga, and RPG for the Xbox 360, was the sequel no one expected. While Culdcept for the PS2 did moderately well, Culdcept Saga received more publication and better reviews overall. IGN and Gamespy gave the fame a fair rating of 6.5-7, while Famitsu and 1up ranked it higher.

Culdcept Saga does improve on the original in nearly every way, sound, graphics, gameplay, and multiplayer, however it loses some of the quirky charm of the original for a grittier, more realistic feel...the problem is, the developers are trying to mimic the Yu-gi-oh animated series, making card/board games serious, which on some levels, is laughable.

Culdcept 1.5

The basic gameplay for Culdcept Saga is unchanged. Players draw cards from a deck, which contains monsters, spells, and items, like Magic: The Gathering then roll a die, go around a board, buy up properties, similar to monopoly, and try to collect rent from their enemies. When an enemy player lands on an owned property, they can fight it with one of their own monsters, using items and spells to improve it's strength.
